How To Connect Windows Xp To Wifi
This article explains how to enable a disabled network device. When your network (wired or wireless) adapter is disabled, you will not be able to access your network resources or go online.
Verify if your network adapter is disabled:
- Windows device managing director will display "Error code 22" when a device is disabled.
- Ruby X marking on the adapter in device manger.
- The Wireless network connection icon shows disabled in the network connections.
Troubleshooting steps on Windows XP:
- ClickStart, right-click My Computer, select Properties, click Hardware tab, and click Device Manager.
- Expand Network Adapters category on Device Manager. If yous come across an adapter with a ruby cross (10) marker, it indicates that the adapter is disabled.
- Double click the adapter and check the device status under Full general Tab.
To enable the device:
- ClickEnable Device.
- Click Adjacent to continue.
- Click Finish.
- Check the adapter is installed in the device manager properly.
- One time the adapter is enabled yous should be able to use this device.
